The City of Roswell's citizen notification service delivers important and timely emergency and general information to the City's residents using the latest technology available.

What is Nixle?

The notification service, Nixle, will alert residents to emergency weather events, road closings, public safety advisories, natural and manmade disasters, and general city information through email and text messaging.

How Do I Sign Up?

Nixle is free and is easy using the link below. Those who wish to register will need to create an account with a user name and password, enter an email address and/or cell phone number where you would like to receive the messages.

Currently, residents who register will receive alerts for weather events, road closing, and public safety advisories. Roswell will eventually provide general City information through Nixle.

Please note that your cell phone provider's text messaging rates will apply.

Emails or text alerts

Once you sign up for Nixle alerts, you can choose how you wish to receive your alerts. Email is the primary form of communication, unless only an SMS text number is provided in your account, in which case your notification will be sent by text. If both an email address and SMS mobile number are provided, Nixel will send the notification to the email address only unless the City sends out an emergency message in which case both your email and cell phone will receive the message. .

Subscribers can text their email address to 888777 at any time, and their email address will be added to their profile.
